5th Detonator [Video]

[The feed shows Kresnik staring at a mistletoe with a somewhat confused expression. He's in the hallway of the Horton Lane apartment complex and just left his room when he noticed the green plants hanging everywhere.]

...What are these green plants? There's quite a lot of them.

[identity profile] dividend.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
Mistletoe. It's an old Christmas tradition.

[identity profile] lovelyscientist.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
Commander you're asking for trouble. Please don't stand beneath the mistletoe.

[And yet despite the warning she is highly amused. Though she sincerely hopes if anyone passes by and kisses him he doesn't punch them out or something.]

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
Another Christmas tradition? How does this one work?

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
[Sounds a bit confused] Is there something dangerous about it?

[identity profile] lovelyscientist.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 05:23 am (UTC)(link)
In general if you end up beneath mistletoe with someone else the rule is that you kiss. it's not mandatory usually though. But I'm hearing something about people being shocked who refuse to participate.

Unless you're looking for a kiss?

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
.......

....what kind of tradition is this?

And no, I'm not looking for a kiss.

[identity profile] lovelyscientist.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 05:52 am (UTC)(link)
A very silly one. I wouldn't take it too seriously. It's just a kiss. Though still you might wish to do your best not to be caught under any with anyone.

[identity profile] dividend.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
You're supposed to kiss someone if you end up underneath it with them... but the scientists have their own sinister twist to it.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 06:40 am (UTC)(link)
....sounds like these scientists are a bit childish then.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 06:41 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I will keep that in mind. [He steps away from the mistletoe now]

[identity profile] dividend.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 06:43 am (UTC)(link)
They are. It shocks you if you don't kiss someone.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
....It's rather frustrating to think that these are the type of people manipulating our lives.

[identity profile] dividend.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
You bet. It makes you wonder what's gonna pop up next, too.

[Voice]

[identity profile] sing-nonomori.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 04:07 pm (UTC)(link)
They are mis-to. For person to give kiss for Discedomas, naka.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
...We must remain cautious.

[Voice]

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-19 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
So I have heard.

...What do you think about this tradition?

[identity profile] dividend.livejournal.com 2009-12-20 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
Definitely.

[identity profile] lovelyscientist.livejournal.com 2009-12-20 06:31 am (UTC)(link)
[She can't help, but laugh, sorry.] I don't think it's that bad. You don't have anything like this at home?

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-20 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
No, Filgaia doesn't have traditions like these.

[voice]

[identity profile] pagesniffer.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
I would not recommend trying to eat it.

Otherwise, it is easy enough to ignore in the absence of others.

[voice]

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
...It figures that the scientists wouldn't put up plants that are editable.

Yes, it doesn't seem too threatening if no one else is around.

[voice]

[identity profile] pagesniffer.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 08:26 am (UTC)(link)
Despite being traditional for the holiday, it is quite poisonous.

Unfortunately, it seems to have made the rounds anywhere people congregate. I am not certain of the uninhabited buildings.

[voice]

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 08:51 am (UTC)(link)
Hm, seems rather ironic.

The scientists, who I'm assuming did this, seem rather determined to make people kiss with one other.

[voice]

[identity profile] pagesniffer.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose it does; traditions often are.

I'll wager it is both that and the shocks. Both cause equal chaos, or at least reactions of equal volume.

[voice]

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 09:25 am (UTC)(link)
...Something that is supposed to bring "joy" is just a plant with the potential to poison people.

It appears so.

[voice]

[identity profile] pagesniffer.livejournal.com 2009-12-21 09:36 am (UTC)(link)
Alternatively, 'love is as poison', 'joy may come from unexpected places'; if you wish to venture into the realm of symbolism, a great deal is possible.

[voice]

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-22 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
...If one believes in those words.

[voice]

[identity profile] pagesniffer.livejournal.com 2009-12-22 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
Symbolism is rarely about belief.

[voice]

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2009-12-22 05:00 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose that's true.
