The 4th Detonator-- Wall

[Kresnik wanted some time by himself, so he's behind the travel group and investigating his surroundings. He much preferred to be by himself and away from any unnecessary conversations with others.]

...Hm.

[He looks at one of the broken cars at the road and starts writing information down on a piece of paper.]

[The wandering soldier's boots squeaked slightly as he marched forward, his right arm resting over the sword on his hip. The long walk in the strange land had left him weary, but he refused to allow himself to fall into weakness. As if the gods had blessed him again, they left a vision before him. In the distance an officer was standing and writing something down beside a crashed vehicle. His blue eyes studied the uniform that the person was dressed in, instantly recognizing that it was not the colors of the land he called 'home'. In the same truth however was that it was not a uniform of the western alliance--soldier or general. He walked forward in a steady march, finally stopping a short distance before the other man. ]

Soldier! I am Taki Reizen, Lieutenant General of the Eastern Nation which is at war with the Western Alliance! If you wish, tell me where I may find a safe place to rest!

[ The voice of the Lieutenant was soft even as he shouted. His cat ears atop his black hair and his long black tail stood at attention as the three foot tall soldier in a green uniform spoke out ]

[Kresnik immediately looks up when he hears the 'Lieutenant General' title, that rank is higher than his. He looks around, expecting a gruff and serious man, only to find a tiny soldier with cat ears atop his black hair]

............

[Excuse his staring, he's just speechless for the time being]

[ An adorable pout appears on the Lieutenant's face ]

Soldier! Are you hard of hearing? I request that you answer my question if you can hear it!

[Come on Kresnik... you're better than this. Despite how... bizarre the situation is, he must take it seriously]

Ah... it's safe to stay near the wagon with everyone else for now.

[ At the answer sofened the tiny catman's expression. The stiff black tail coming out the back of his pants even started to sway again. ]

Thank you. What is your name and class? And which military are you from? I don't recognize your uniform.

[Must... maintain... focus]

I'm Commander Kresnik Ahtreide of the Congressional Knights.

[identity profile] wheresmyknight.livejournal.com 2011-06-20 04:15 am (UTC)(link)
[ His second set of ears twitch atop his head, his tail continuing to swish ]

Knights? Is your military in some kind of monarchary?

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2011-06-20 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
[He stares straight into his face]

No, we're a world military dedicated to democracy.

[identity profile] wheresmyknight.livejournal.com 2011-06-20 05:26 am (UTC)(link)
Mew?! [ The Lieutenant's eyes went wide. ]

A world military?! Does this mean that you have achieved a unification of the different nations?

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2011-06-20 06:01 am (UTC)(link)
... [Did that officer just "mewed?"]

No... nations don't exist anymore.

[identity profile] wheresmyknight.livejournal.com 2011-06-20 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
No nations... then what is it that you defend? And who against?

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2011-06-20 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
We defend the world from anarchy.

[identity profile] wheresmyknight.livejournal.com 2011-06-20 08:48 am (UTC)(link)
That's fascinating. Is it a kind of system that the military stands in place of the government?

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2011-06-20 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
...Yes, you could describe it in that way.
