12th Detonator [Voice]

The stock of food is returning now. [small pause] I'm rather...impressed by the lack of panicking from all of you.

Though our supplies are being slowly refurnished, we still need to take caution. I'm still uncertain what exactly caused the decline in food, whether it be the scientists' idea of "amusement" or something else happened to them during the shortage. If anyone knows for certain or have any thoughts on this subject matter, I would like to hear them.

[Before the feed cuts off, one can hear his soft mumble] ...never thought I'd be glad in seeing canned beans again...

Panic? HAH. They expected the Scientists to come back and BABYSIT them.

[Voice]

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps so.

...But under the circumstances, I expected everyone to start killing each other over the remaining food.

You forgot a bunch of these maggots were to PETRIFIED by the cold to even feed themselves!

[Voice]

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
...Yes, some people did decide to just shut themselves in their room.

I'm making a general statement that the situation could have turned out a lot worse.

Take it as you can get it, son! Don't think, "This is horrible, there is no food." Think, "FINALLY! A chance to eat another man's leg!"

I'm certainly planning on watching our stocks more carefully.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
...that's a proper measure to be taken after all this.

[identity profile] knowthatiknow.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
A city-wide effort wouldn't be a bad idea.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
...It will be difficult to gather everyone's support.

[identity profile] witchoftheweek.livejournal.com 2010-02-19 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
An entry from the scientists indicates they lost contact.

Apparently, there are not as all-powerful as they would like to be.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 12:25 am (UTC)(link)
...I see. It's relatively suspicious that they suddenly lost contact like that though.

It's impossible for anyone to control all the variables in a situation.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 01:38 am (UTC)(link)
...has this ever happened before? ...The shortage of food and the scientists losing contact?

(voice)

[identity profile] vonkarmic.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
I recall hearing something about an unforeseen loss of communication between the scientists and ourselves, though I would not put it past them to pull this sort of stunt for nothing more than their own foolish amusement.

(voice)

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Considering their actions thus far, I wouldn't be surprised either.

...Though, I cannot see the purpose in why they would purposely lose contact and deny the resupply of food to the people here...If they're concerned with rebuilding Discedo, letting everyone near starvation wouldn't help their cause.

(voice)

[identity profile] vonkarmic.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
That would depend on their actual long-term aims, would it not? Even if they claim to be interested in rebuilding Discedo - and I hadn't heard that claim until today - I've seen nothing so far that would indicate that as truth.

(voice)

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-20 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
Observing the state of this city, your sediment is most likely correct. If Discedo has been like this for years, the scientists might have already given up and are just using us for a more personal reason.

...In either case, their actions are highly illogical and holding people here against their will won't gather support.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-21 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
It will be a while before the buildings are restored to their former state.

...Reconstruction will be faster if people work together though.

[identity profile] boy-fatality.livejournal.com 2010-02-21 07:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't say that the city was without panic, but thankfully things did not go as badly as they could have.

I've noticed the supplies have begun to return as well. I suppose we all learned a valuable lesson in conservation at least.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-21 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
You're correct, since things could have turned out a lot worse.

...and perhaps people do help each other out when the situation becomes drastic.

[identity profile] boy-fatality.livejournal.com 2010-02-22 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
I'm always surprised at how the people in this place manage to come together in such times. But this place is indeed full of surprises.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-02-22 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
...I admit that it was a pleasant surprise for once.
