19th Detonator [Voice]

It appears that many people have disappeared in the last few weeks. [...And Kirika was one of them. Hopefully, she's back in her world and with all of her memories... He resumes speaking.] Though the amount of deaths have slowed down from before, it's for the best that they're gone. Less people will hopefully mean less causalities in the future.

With the chips being slowly removed, it's somewhat impressive that no massive damage has occurred to Discedo yet. However, that doesn't mean we can let up our guard... We must remain focused.

[There's a long pause and it seems like he's about to turn off his communicator when the commander speaks again]

With the disappearance of several individuals and the chips being taken out, a thought has recently occurred to me. What happens to those people who return home, but the chip is still in their body?

[identity profile] notmanaging.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 06:10 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe the chips' effects don't work so far away from Fortuna.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 08:07 am (UTC)(link)
That seems to be a plausible case.

Although, it's unsettling to know that the chip might still be in one's body even after escaping Discedo.

[identity profile] notmanaging.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 08:18 am (UTC)(link)
I wonder if a surgeon could find it back home...not that you would know to tell them to look for it.

It almost makes me wonder if all those stories about alien abductions were real.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 09:13 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps the chip could be seen with an x-ray or a machine similar to that.

...Alien abductions?

Are you sure the chip goes home with them? What if the Scientists keep them...or reuse them on new arrivals?

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 08:12 am (UTC)(link)
At this point, I'm uncertain if the chip stays in the person's body upon returning home. It's possible for the scientists to remove it when someone leaves, but that would require them to surgically take the chip out.

[identity profile] mizu-isei.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 08:14 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe not. Their technology is a lot more advanced than ours, considering what they can do. We don't have a scar from when they put it in, do we?

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 09:18 am (UTC)(link)
No, you're correct... their technology is highly advanced.

Although, they could have a machine that completely heals the person's skin. It seems rather plausible, since the scientists can revive people if they die.

I...guess the scientist took the chip out before they went home?

[Voice]

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
And if that person returns here, they just place the chip back in them?

[Voice]

[identity profile] likeaniceberg.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 01:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I...guess so. Haven't put much thought into it, but that's an interesting question.

[identity profile] turneverystone.livejournal.com 2010-07-06 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
We should probably take advantage of the quiet while we can.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
That would be the best choice at this point, but we must remain cautious still.

[identity profile] turneverystone.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 12:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course. But while things are relatively normal, we can try to prepare ourselves for the next possibility.

[identity profile] snipers-shot.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
I ain't riskin' tha' damage can be done to this place by chips bein' gone. Gettin' mine removed as soon as possible.

Now... gettin' sent home, tha's a good question. We should ask the next person who comes back with their memories.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 12:56 am (UTC)(link)
Once the initial wave of chips being removed is over, I'm planning to get mine taken out as well.

At this point, that seems to be the only sure answer... other than the scientists answering it themselves, but that won't happen.

[identity profile] snipers-shot.livejournal.com 2010-07-08 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Wha' kind of powers do ya have? Or jus' gettin' it out for good measure?

'm hopin' we can catch the scientists and ask them one of these days.

[identity profile] boy-fatality.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 05:48 am (UTC)(link)
The occurrences of the past few days is troubling.

I think many want their chips out now, with so many capable of causing harm now. People will want to have as much protection as possible.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 05:55 am (UTC)(link)
As more chips are being taken out, the larger the chance that something disastrous will happen.

[identity profile] boy-fatality.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
What worries me is that whatever disaster occurs is likely an unintended side-effect of the chip.

[identity profile] gavemyword.livejournal.com 2010-07-07 02:41 pm (UTC)(link)
They bring us here to watch us, right? Tch. Scientists probably wouldn't do it so much if they could just monitor us wherever.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-07-08 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
The scientists also placed the chips in our bodies to suppress our powers.

[identity profile] witchoftheweek.livejournal.com 2010-07-08 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Another reason I sometimes wonder if we are ever actually taken from our worlds.

[identity profile] musicboxsoldier.livejournal.com 2010-07-09 12:29 am (UTC)(link)
It seems to be plausible, especially with the technology that the scientists have.

...Regardless, I can't be distracted by speculation for too long.
