[The feed shows a young teenager standing there with a scowl on his face. His arms are crossed and covering part of the blue name tag that is on his clothes]

Hey scientists, I know you're listening to this!

[He tries glaring at the screen, but it's not really threatening]

I don't know where you put me at, but you better not harm Yulie while I'm here! She's my precious little sister, so I'll refuse to take that bitter medicine if you make her cry!

[With one final glare, Kresnik moves to turn off the communicator]

[ooc: This is Kresnik from the White Orphanage. He's a lot more open with his emotions than his older self and is very concerned about his baby sister. Also, he's not really talking to the Discedo scientists, but is referring to the ones in the orphanage.]

[He's panting, but looking mostly unconcerned as he pokes you to start moving again.]

I didn't know they did that! Guess you have to take 'em all out before they start, heh. Maybe we need to start with something else.

[Slowly gets up and rubs his head]

Do you always fight the first thing that you see?

[Checks back on the ReDeads, which have... shuffled off. Gee, don't you feel like a big bad when screaming zombies ignore your attacks.]

Not always, but most of the stuff here doesn't do that. [He shrugs.] C'mon! There's plenty other stuff that's easier.

[Well, nothing can be worse than creepy zombies. ...Right?]

A-alright, if you say so. [He doesn't want to disappoint his "mentor"]

[Don't push your luck and bring the Lavos down on us, man.]

[He leads the way down the street again, turning a more discerning eye on their surroundings this time -- they'll go with a monster he knows better next.] That was pretty good, though! We got a few hits in an' you didn't run away or anything.

[He follows]

Of course I wouldn't run away, I'm not scared or anything!

Well, good! Keep an eye out--

[He stops talking for a moment, eyes widening and head whipping around. Did he just see what he thinks he saw?]

Hell yeah! C'mon, hurry up! We gotta catch that!

[Annnnd he's off like a shot.]

[He didn't quite catch what Nora saw]

Wha- Hey, wait!

[Getting used to this, Kresnik quickly follows]

We gotta catch it before it gets away! They're really good at that.

[As they approach he puts out an arm and then a finger to his lips and gestures frantically at their prey--

... A single unsuspecting Red Chu, slowly bobbing along the street.]

[He looks over at the Red Chu bobbing down the street]

...what is that?

[Nora's speaking in a hushed voice -- actually he sounds sort of like ~~Steve Irwin~~ a wildlife TV commentator, if you're into that sort of thing.

Too much TV for this kid.]

It's a jelly! I've never seen this kind before getting into the city, but it's not that much different -- it just hits a little harder an' runs faster.

You gotta sneak up and pounce!

[Annnnd that is what we are now going to attempt to do.]

[He stares at the jelly a bit longer]

So...you want me to punch that?

[He grins conspiratorially.] Yeah! But don't punch it so it gets away. You gotta punch it so it stays.

[Now it's up to you to figure that out, because he's back to stalking it. First strike is yours, it appears.]

[Punch it so it stays? If he punches it down to the ground, that will make it stay, right...?]

.... [He runs towards it and moves to punch the Red Chu down]

[That'd be the right idea! Unfortunately... it's also a jelly creature, so while your downwards punch delays it and squishes it considerably, it also manages to slide right out from under your fist--

And then Nora lands on top of it. What happens next... well, the Chu flat-out flies out from under his weight. Towards Kresnik's face.]

... Heads-up!

[This is the worst warning ever.]

[He didn't have time to panic when the Chu slid out from under his fist, for a certain demon lands right on top of it a moment later.

...With his face meeting the full impact of Red Chu]

[Meantime, Nora just sits up and stares in COMPLETE BEMUSEMENT. So helpful.]

... Whoops.

[On the other hand! The Chu is making slow downward motions now.

... Congratulations, Kresnik! It appears your face has defeated the monster!

It will now proceed to flop into your lap, or whatever is currently under your face.]

....

[He eventually looks down at his lap]

...We defeated the monster, didn't we?

[He blinks back at you and then suddenly bursts out laughing.] You bet! I've never seen anybody beat up a jelly like that before!

[Annnd doesn't stop laughing for a while. Seriously, what was that.]

[He blinks when Nora suddenly starts laughing]

Well, it worked!

[Despite himself, Kresnik couldn't help but smile]

Y-Yeah, I guess. [There are tears in his eyes from laughing so hard, but eventually he gets up and nods at Kresnik and his jelly.] You can keep that an' I dunno, eat it or something.

Well, now you can face a monster! [Does not appear to notice the pun...]

[Makes a face at the suggestion]

I'm not going to eat leftover monster bits! [Wipes his face a bit]

Are we ready for the scientists now?

[He snickers and shrugs.] So what're you gonna do with it?

Hmmm... I think there's something else, though-- [Clap!] I know! We gotta get you a weapon! Fists're good, but not all the time. An' you don't have magic either.

[Doesn't answer and wipes the jelly off his lap too]

Well, I think I can learn magic...there are people who can use it, right? ...But it might take too long. [Sighs] What weapon do you suggest?

Well, if you don't want it... [He scoops it up and... sticks it into his pocket. You really don't want to know what's been in there.]

Depends! I don't think you can find much in this place, but it's worth a look -- what would you want for a weapon, anyway?
